Theresa Cornwell

Multifamily and Investment Expert

CA License: DRE #02230080

Theresa is a fervent advocate for using real estate to create financial freedom. From her own experience in buying her first investment property at 26, to helping others get their foot in the door of real estate investing, to speaking in her community at schools and businesses about the advantages of investing in real estate, she is consistently at the forefront of the conversation (and the market).

With her background in engineering from the University of Southern California, she is a self professed “number nerd” and uses her love for math to help investors find the best real estate properties to fulfill their financial goals.

Theresa prides herself on having the long term vision to not only help her investors start their journey in real estate investing, but grow their portfolio and achieve financial freedom on their own terms so they can live life to the fullest.

Early Life & Education

Theresa was born and raised in Northern California, the only child of parents who were both hard workers in humble jobs. She was told her whole life to also work hard, to get good grades, get into a good college, and get a good job.

And that’s exactly what she did. Theresa graduated high school with a 4.8 GPA, went on to graduate from the University of Southern California with her degree in electrical engineering and minor in music recording, and got a job straight after college for Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) working with the US Air Force to develop the next generation of GPS in aiding our war fighters. Her goal as an engineer was to create inventions that would help people and make a positive impact in the world, and she was well on her way now – or so she thought.

She had accomplished everything that she was told to do. She worked hard. She got the grades. She got the elite college degree. And she got the good-paying job. But after 8 years working as an engineer, she realized she wasn’t accomplishing what her true goal was in the first place: to help people.

However, during her engineering career Theresa had built a credit score over 800, a substantial savings account, had multiple successful investing accounts, and bought a duplex to kick off her real estate portfolio… all by the time she was 26.

Theresa began to realize she had reached a level of financial freedom that others rarely saw even by the time they retired. That’s when she discovered her true calling for making a difference in the world: helping others achieve financial freedom.

She created a business teaching and advocated for financial literacy, called The Millionaire Keys. As she inspired others to invest in real estate for building wealth, she was encouraged to pursue her real estate license by Juan at Sage Real Estate and is now a licensed agent working with the Sage brokerage. She specializes in helping people invest in real estate to grow their wealth and build financial freedom.
